See me at the LGBT Expo 2015 in NYC

Hello everyone. I know its been a while. I'll be singing and talking about this blog as well as the Straight Crossdressers and Friends Facebook Group. The awesome Appolonia Cruz will be hosting the at the LGBT Expo at the Video Lounge on Saturday February 28th & Sunday March 1st. My friend Frankie will be performing on Saturday and I will be singing on Sunday. After my song i'll sit down with Appolonia and we'll talk about what i'm hoping to accomplish which is acceptance of crossdressers and for people to be non-judgmental about how people, particularly crossdressers. People always assume that because a man wears womens clothing that 1: they want to BE women and 2: they want to date men (same thing for women who wear mens wear). Where both may be true for some people it is not true for everyone. Just because a man wears a dress we should assume nothing but that he likes the particular clothing he's wearing. We shouldn't assume his gender identity OR his sexual preference. We shouldn't assume that of anyone period.

I wonder if I can get anyone to record it for me this year...maybe i'll set up my camera for video again this year.

I've been sick...all year. Been to the doctor and they say its my allergies...Seriously??? My allergies make me feel like i have a really bad cold....which sux. I've been having throat pain and have not been singing for weeks. I think my performance is gonna be as bad as last year...the horror... Whatever. I'll make the best of it.

I do love you all and wish I had more time to post. I post a bit more on the facebook page. Straight Crossdressers and Friends Group (this is a closed group, you have to respond back to the message from one of the 3 admins to be added)
Here is the thing about the group. EVERYONE is screened. I explain the rules a bit and you have to agree to them, mostly to weed out spammers and people who are looking to date same sex as themselves crossdressers because most of the group is straight and hate being hit on by people of the same gender.
We still have our facebook page as well https://www.facebook.com/straightcrossdressers

I love you all and I will be posting more soon.

Major Fail on my part

I had planned on posting once a week....I failed miserably this year. Thing is I have a new-ish Job and I didn't realize i'd be so drained after working. Not just that, my 10 yo daughter needs a lot of my time & my Sweetie is also time consuming. Tuesday next week is the 2 yr anniversary of my first date with my crossdressing sweetie. He is elated that i've been with him so long and hopes we'll stay together...well...forever.

Anywho I will leave you with this:

Yes...Eddie Izzard!!! That's just the clip w/me. I'll post the full video as well a lil later.

I love you ALL and have not forgotten about you. I have friended a few of you on facebook and many of you have liked our Facebook page and more & more of you are joining our Facebook group! Keep joining, make posts, make friends, and also remember....all ages page, no NSFW pics PLEASE. There are PLENTY of other groups that are all about the NSFW type pics. Thanks!

Convo with a CD friend #1 of Many

I was talking to one of my Crossdressing friends the other day. We were talking about clothes, dressing, relationships and such. At some point she says,
*”You are very out there, why can't I be someone like that, loyal and honest and don't care [about what others think about you]?’

My Response: It takes a bit of...well...getting over yourself. I got over myself. Embarrassing things are gonna happen, people are gonna not like some things you do. People are gonna try to put you down, question is...how do you feel about you? Do you like what you do? Do you like who you are?
People come and go, you will be with you all of your life. You should take care of the inner you. The inner you wants to be happy. The inner you likes to dress a certain way and act a certain way. The inner you may want to look different every day. The inner you may wanna dress the same way for a week then totally change up. If you're with someone who can't deal with you being you...well...I don't see how making your inner self sad to make someone else happy will keep you happy for too long.

That was spewed out in the middle of the night when my friend was sleep. Later she responded:

“Wow Pebbles, You just broke it down, But you are right.  I see what you are saying, WE are some [of the] good men out there. Just because we want to dress like a woman doesn't mean we want to be with one or be gay or bi or anything like that.”

Me: Nearly all if not all of the CD dudes I chat with are really nice people & really 'good' guys. If a GG wants to be treated 'right' I highly recommend a CD. If the GG can get over themselves maybe they can find happiness in the arms of someone who just Might look better than them occasionally, lol. A lot of people don't get over themselves till they are way old. You don't see (some)old ladies not doing stuff or saying stuff just cause it might be embarrassing... life is too short to dwell on dumb stuff!

Later, We were discussing relationships again and the GG my CD friend is dating.

Me: I wanna say something which may come off pretty... 'guy-ish' and I'm not talkin’ nice guy... Here it goes. If you think she is your One, you should find a way to tell her you like to dress. If she's not...well...are you ready to drop her in a minute if you do find your 'one' who is fine with who you are?
I totally understand companionship. I didn't like being alone [when I was single].

Their response: ‘Well she’s somewhat one, but what is the one?... I'm 35 years old I don't know what to believe in that aspect. I would think the one would have come by now.

Me: So many of my CD/TG friends are with people who don't like a very real part of them...the emotional turmoil they go through because of it is really heartbreaking!
I had a friend show his girlfriend a picture of him en femme to come out to her. She thought he was really cute. They continued to date for a while, eventually they broke up, but not because of his dressing.

I wish I could talk to all the 'girlfriends that don't know' and ease them into the thought of it. CD guys (in my opinion) are just sooooo much easier to deal with than 'regular' guys. You Know what their major quirk is, that secret is gone! If you can deal with that, everything else will be a breeze to get through! And if you tell her & it doesn't work [or she thinks she can’t deal with it], well, you didn't invest TOO much time in a relationship that wouldn't work out in the end anyway

Why is a CD guys so much easier?

Me: More in touch with their feminine side...for example. [Some] Ladies sometimes (or all the times) wanna get their hair/nails etc done, right?

Yes they do.

Me: My ex hubby didn't understand that and to him it was kinda wasted money...his mom had to talk to him about that.

Oh yes we wouldn't mind getting ours done too.

Me: Exactly! No fight no fuss. That's something you can do together! Spa day, hello!

Later we went on to talk about how women may not like to participate in their significant other’s crossdressing. It’s like any other…we’ll say ‘hobby’ for this example. If I dislike something that someone likes to do, that doesn't mean I won't support the person who wants to do it. I may or may not join in on what they like to do. I may or may not be there every time they’re doing whatever it is they’re doing but I’m supportive. If someone I’m with likes table top gaming but I’m not into it. I wouldn’t put them down for it. I might try to play to see if maybe I could get to like it but if I just don’t like to do it myself…it’s just something I don’t like to do. They can continue with it. I might even make snacks to serve to the gamers or hang out and watch/listen to what’s going on.

I hope other people can be like that. If your significant other likes to dress in a way contrary to their gender type, would you be able to support them even if you’re not in to it? Can you help them with their hair and make-up so they can hang with their friends who also like to dress? Will you go to an event with them even though it’s not an event you want to go to all the time just to support them? It’s my hope that sometime soon this will no longer be considered a taboo…maybe even be considered a some-what normal occurrence.

That’s all I have to say for now. I hope you all have a GREAT DAY!!!

I will again be making an appearance at The Original GLBT Expo in NYC this weekend! I will be interviewed in the Video Lounge on Sunday. I’ll Have pictures and my experience from there to share with you soon!

Love,

Pirate Pebbs

Support Matters - Guest Post by Chardonnay Merlot

It was a Saturday night out on the dance floor. Me with a big smile on my face. You can never get too much of the feeling of a fun night out, surrounded by friends, all while working the perfect outfit.

The added bonus? For me, it was at the place where my journey truly began.

On that night two years before,-- IChardonnay Merlot, stepped out into the world for the first time.

I was alone, nervous, scared. I wasn't sure I was gonna go through with it.

My Heartbeat keeping time with the click-clack of heels on a parking lot.

Earlier that day, I was in a dressing room at a small shop maybe an hour away.

Looking in a mirror at me.

It was overload seeing myself in a way I'd always wanted to but never felt safe in doing.

And then I was told, "You really should consider going out tonight. There's nothing gained by hiding who you are."

I ended up going to a club that night. Nervous to the point of nausea.

"Don't be nervous honey, be out and be proud."

I met others like me that night.

A couple of weeks later, I was late to my first meeting with my support group and the group leader gave me the 'Don Rickles' treatment for being quite late, and then embraced me... as did the whole community.

The common denominator: Someone reached out.

I'm grateful for so many who have, mainly in a lot of small ways, from besties who call and Facebook me just to ask "how ya doin?" to those who have shared their experience and wisdom with me from the beginning.

Those first steps were tentative and nervous. Looking back I wonder how ever got the heart to take them.

It was because somebody took one second to tell me, "Live it. Learn it. Own it."

Because somebody took one second to show me how to use a foundation brush more efficiently.

Because someone spent an evening sharing their journey, their story, and was patient with me.

Because a group of people invited me in with open arms.

Because a group of people saw a shy scared person trying to find answers and they took me in.

Thanks to that, I've found a new peace, a new strength and have expanded my circle because of it. The journey feels a little less arduous and a lot less lonely, because from the beginning so many, in big ways and small, sent the most important message: "You are not alone."

Links & filler

I have had an uninspired week. Nothing really to talk about from my life with CDs but I DID read an article that was AWESOME couple. A transvestite & his Wife. A sweet beautiful loving couple in california. They had a write-up in LA Weekly! Below is a link to the article.

I'm pretty sure I read this on another blog about crossdressing. Here are a few links to other pages i frequent (some are crossdresser themed, some are art themed). I'm sure none of the CD blog owners even know this page exists...i'll reach out...eventually...maybe...

I have at least one interview on the back burner that hopefully I will get to this week. Also a friend & reader of this blog has written an article which will be posted soon as well.

Love Always,

Pirate Pebbs

P.S. I'll be at the GLBT Expo in NYC Next month in the Video Lounge with Appolonia Cruz! Check me out there if you'll be there as well :)

RuPaul's Drag Race Battle of the Seasons at the Troc 2014

This week, on January 16th, Paula & I went to the Trocadero in Philadelphia where Drag Race Contestants from several seasons were to perform. The night was hosted by Michelle Visage and starred Manila LuzonPandora Boxx & Sharon Needles  Ivy Winters, Alaska Thunderfuck, Mimi Imfurst & Phi Phi O'Hara with special guest Jiggly Caliente.

I missed out on getting VIP tickets this time (those tickets sell out fast) but I at least had tickets for the show. When I go to a drag show I want to look like I at least Tried with my make-up (ok, i couldn't remember where I last had my foundation so that wasn't worn). I think I did well. I looked quite ...noticeable. It was a standing room type of establishment on the floor. We decided to stand a lil bit off from the stage to a slightly higher area where I could see what was going on well. The only con was that I wasn't allowed to bring my dslr camera and had to use a Canon Power Shot. Everything looked further away than what it really was. Ah well, what could you do?

The Show started with Michelle singing a version of 'Science Fiction Double Feature' from Rocky Horror Picture Show. Then went on to performances. I was pleasantly surprised by some of the performances. There were video clips interspersed in the show, before & during performances. Lots of live singing as well as a good deal of lip singing. Carmen Carrera was supposed to be there but couldn't so Jiggly Caliente stood in, which was cool. Ivy Winters did a few performances on stilts as well as juggling knives & eating fire. Pandora Boxx did an awesome comedy routine. Manila did a great...everything! I Love Manila's style & all over zaniness. I recommend anyone who can to see the show. They are performing in a few more cities together.

While I was at the show I saw someone that I thought i'd met before, turns out it wasn't. But Long story short, I made a new friend. A local CD named Trixie whom i've been chatting with in the days since. Seems like a pretty cool person. You never know who you'll meet when you go to shows. I also saw one of my Karaoke friends at the show.

After the show there was a free after party at club Voyeur (for the people who went to the show) where a lot of the Queens from the show were going to. I went over there and they had their weekly drag show still happening. So I saw a few of philly's local drag queens. Some I'd seen before Like Satine Harlow & Lady Poison, as well as some I'd never seen before. There were maybe 6 performances left that I was able to see. All were enjoyable. During the ending of the show a few of the queens who had been at the Troc were in attendance. I saw (ok ...kinda chased down) Manila and told him how Awesome I thought he was...wish i'd had my camera out...whateva. Anywho, I went home around 2am happy that i'd had a chance to go and see some awesome performances!

The following is a link to the rest of the performances: http://www.inlandempiretouring.com/artists/RuPaul%27s+Drag+Race+-+Battle+of+the+Seasons

Here are a few pics & a link to all the pictures I took with my non-DSLR camera. RDR BOTS Pics

First 'Interview with a Straight Crossdresser' for 2014

New Year, New interview! This interview is with Sienna, a 19 year old crossdresser from Las Vegas, Nevada.
*********************************

Sienna

Pebbles: Ok, Interview time!!!!

Sienna: LOL. Okay I'm ready.

Pebbles: So, how would you like to be addressed?

Sienna: We can use my girl name I guess. It's Sienna.

Pebbles: Ok. About when did you become interested in or start crossdressing?

Sienna: I always had a secret love of fashion but I didn't really think about crossdressing until I was about 15 or 16.

Pebbles: Have you ever been 'caught', if so, by whom? What was the outcome?

Sienna: Surprisingly I've never been caught. I think it's because I've only been doing this for about a year and a half and I'm pretty open about it already so a good chunk of people know.

Pebbles: Awesome. I've noticed it’s (seems) much easier for the younger generation to do it with lil trouble maybe people around 23-ish and younger are way more relaxed about it.
Does your family know you 'dress' ?

Sienna: My brother and two sisters know about it but my mom and dad currently don't.

Pebbles: Ah, cool. How do they feel about it?

Sienna: My siblings are extremely supportive. I've actually borrowed clothes from my sisters before.

Pebbles: When/how did they find out about it?

Sienna: They just found out in early October after a year of hiding it from them. I pretty much put a post on Facebook about it that only they could see. I figured that was the easiest way to do it.

Pebbles: Pretty smart!
Have you ever gone out crossdressed in public? If so, where to?

Sienna: The first time I ever crossdressed was at school. For spirit week we had Gender Bender Day and I was interested in crossdressing already, so I took that opportunity and dressed up.

Pebbles: Cool

Sienna: I've also been out on Halloween dressed up a couple of times.

Pebbles: Did anyone teach you how to apply makeup? Do you apply your own?

Sienna: My friend is currently teaching me how to do it. Right now I don't do my own makeup and go out because I'm absolutely horrible at it, yet somehow I'm decent at face painting.

Pebbles: Similar skills yes, but totally different results usually.
Do/Have you worn fake nails or do you paint your nails?

Sienna: I have not. Since I've started crossdressing I haven't done anything to my nails, not even paint them.

Pebbles: Ah, ok. Are you 'Passing' or is it your goal to be passing? If so would you go out in public crossdressed regularly?

Sienna: Every time I do go out dressed up people think I'm a girl so I guess I'm passing even though I don't think I am. I guess you could say it is a goal though because I want to look as pretty as possible. And yes I would go out regularly. I plan on going out more often.

Pebbles: What makes you want to crossdress? How does it make you feel?

Sienna: Ever since I was little I pretty much straddled the line for the gender norm. I'd play with my sisters and see them using barbies and then I'd go play with my brother and his wrestling action figures. So in a way there was always two sides to me. Crossdressing gives me a way to truly express that other side as well as indulge in my love of heels lol.

Pebbles: Sounds good! Do you tuck &/or Shave when you crossdress? Being that you're pretty young I figure if you shave, it’s not much, eh?

Sienna: Not yet I don't. For the most part when I've dressed up I've worn things that cover that area so tucking isn't really necessary. I haven't shaved either since a lot of the time I'm wearing leggings or something that covers my hair. Only thing that needs shaving is my beard.

Pebbles: Ideally what percentage of your time would you prefer to be 'dressed', 50% of the time more or less?

Sienna: Less than 50%. I'm happy just doing it maybe 2-3 times a month. Maybe a bit more if I'm really feeling like it. I would never want to spend a whole entire week dressing up though.

Pebbles: I hear ya! I girlified myself for a week...it was torture...and I Am a girl. I did a weeks’ worth of posts about it...weird eh?

Sienna: LOL, that sounds like torture. Seems like most girls hate getting dolled up. They just like the end result, haha.

Pebbles: Yeah. Do you have a girlfriend, if so, does she know?

Sienna: Nope. For now I'm single.

Pebbles: Have you had one since you started crossdressing? If so did she know about it?

Sienna: Nothing serious. I've had a couple instances where I almost was in a relationship with some girls and they knew about the crossdressing and were okay with it but they weren't really official.

Pebbles: Ah, I hear ya.
Is there a female celebrity that inspires your look?

Sienna: I try to do my own thing when it comes to my look but I definitely love Kerry Washington's style. She might have a little bit of influence on me.

Pebbles: Cool. Do you have a story you would like to share with the reading audience?

Sienna: Well there's Gender Bender Day in high school. All the girls jumped at the chance to dress as boys but only two boys dressed up as girls and I was one of the two. So I get to class all dressed up, purse on one arm, makeup did and the teacher tells us there's an all boys assembly today. So I end up having to go to the all boys assembly dressed as a girl. The whole senior class died laughing at me. I think student council planned for that to happen. LOL.

Pebbles: LOL, yeah probably.

Pebbles: Is there anything you'd like to say to other young people interested in crossdressing or anything to say to parents of crossdressing kids?

Sienna: For young people who are interested I'd say, “Stop caring about what others think and just do your thing. Your real friends and family will stick by you no matter what you do.” “For parents I'd say just be open minded and accepting. They're still your baby. The only thing that is probably gonna change is the clothes they wear.”

Pebbles: Great Advice!
Thank you Sienna for having the time to be interviewed for my little blog in my tiny section of the internet

Sienna: LOL. No problem. Thank you for interviewing me. I don't get to voice how I feel about crossdressing often.
Also, I think what you're doing is a great thing. It may not be the biggest thing around but it still helps.

Pebbles: Awesome. My one major goal in life is to help people be happy

Sienna: Well I think you're doing a great job so far.

Pebbles: Thank you. I do try cause I want to help more people either with self acceptance, accepting their kids or accepting their significant other.

Sienna: That's good. I've actually considered starting a youtube channel in order to give other young straight crossdressers someone to relate to as well as promote acceptance too.

Pebbles: I think that’s Great!
Is there anything you'd like to add before we finish up here?

Sienna: I When I first started crossdressing I was looking for a straight crossdresser who I can relate to since there didn't seem to be many of them voicing their opinions. However this page (https://www.facebook.com/straightcrossdressers) helped since it let me know there are a lot of people out there like me as well as women who would date them. That helped me not be ashamed of crossdressing and instead accept it.

Pebbles: I’m glad I was able to help you out there. Thank you again for taking the time out to share your story with us.

So ladies, Sienna is single and looking. If you’re in the Vegas area and are interested in conversing with Sienna, you can send an email to StraightCrossdressers@gmail.com with your name age and reply email (a picture wouldn’t hurt as well, I mean, you see Sienna right here) and I will pass the info to Sienna.

Until next time, Have fun & stay safe!

Sorry I’ve been away…Sometimes Life Happens

So yeah, sometimes life happens and I don’t get around to posting. Sometimes I’m sick, sometimes I’m stressed, sometimes I’m running around doing everything yet nothing, sometimes I’m spending time with my daughter, sometimes gardening, sometimes typing run on sentences…sometimes I’m just lazy and doing nothing cause I can. So here’s a lil update on me.
I just got a new car!!! …ok New to me. It’s a 2009 Elantra. You may recall that I was in a car accident about 8 months back. I’d been in rental cars and borrowing cars for work. Insurance company…sucked majorly. I had to get a lawyer to get my insurance company to do their job….yeah….not fun. American Independent, worst insurance company ever! Ok, back to the present-ish.
I also have a new camera because my old camera pretty much died. As you will see when I post the very few pics I took at the last Raven party (which I still need to blog about). The camera started dying at the end of a Raven party…so, yeah. So, now I pretty much have what I need to do more freelance photography, so that’s good at least.
Let’s see…My garden is doing well, strawberries starting to flower, Kale is still alive, I think this is year 3 for them! I have much chocolate mint…and other things that no one cares about but me. My job has been veryyyyyyyyyyy part time for a long time so I’m also actively looking for other employment or a 2nd job. Hopefully I can just do freelance to make ends meet.
Shopping has been happening. Just the other day Paula, Jerome & I took a girl going through transition shopping for girl clothes out in a mall for the first time. That was fun.
I’ve been wanting to do a video blog post for a while. Every time I’m ready to do it something comes up to prevent me from actually filming. Random stuff…I’ll get it done eventually. I’ve been working on a logo design as well.
I also co-host &/or photograph at Dr. Thunder Karaoke in Philadelphia. Lots of my nights are full of singing. One of my CD friends in Wisconsin decided to give me an awesome gift, a brand new Corset from Corset story!!! That should be coming in within the next few days. He wants me to do corset waist training with him. Will Do! I’ve been friends with him since about January last year. I really do appreciate it J. I wish there were something I could do for him but…I guess I’m doing what I can right now by blogging and talking to all my CD friends letting them know that it’s OK to crossdress. There are totally accepting females who are somewhere out there waiting for them.
Back when I decided I wanted to start dating crossdressers I had no idea where to look. Most women who are into crossdressers don’t usually go out actively seeking them. Because I did I found sooooooooo many beautiful men out there. Lots of them have great personalities. Most are totally non-creepy. Most are respectful. Most I’d totally hang out with offline if they were local. Most were not local. One local CD though, I have had the pleasure of getting to know for the past year. I’ve been seeing him (mostly non-exclusively) for the past year. It’s been quite a nice experience. Way better than I’d expected. I had planned on doing another separate blog about the crossdressers I’d seen & dated but…well…I don’t even keep up with this blog so, who am I kidding? I won’t keep up with that. Maybe I’ll add some tidbits here & there about those few individuals. Won’t use names but if they’re reading, they’d know I was talking about them. Wow! This post is going everywhere. Well. I haven’t posted in a while and have had a lot on my mind. I think I’ll end it here-ish.

I LOVE YOU ALL!

Drag-Gasm 2012 - RuPauls Drag Race Edition

I nearly had a Drag-Gasm last night!!! Thanks to Paula (who got us VIP tickets), I saw about 90% of my Favorite Drag Queens all in one place at the same time up close and personal. I even got to take pics with them & hug them and...AAAAHHHH!!!! (I totally didn't wanna let Raven go) I was on cloud 9 all night! I made little cards for them to remember me by cause...well...I wanted to. I wanted to do something a bit extra. I spent days working on a lil photo compilation of...well...me to give to them. I wrote a letter to RuPaul, which I wanted to ask Michelle Visage to give to Ru but I wasn't able to meet Michelle before or after the show so the letter is still in my bag :(. I personalized everything for everyone. I have recently started selling Avon so I included some lipstick samples in the envelopes, I even put temporary tattoos in each one. I did something extra special for Manila Luzon. I hand-made a card for my Favilla Manila that was very simple-ish with a couple of pictures of Manila & her dearly departed Sahara Davenport along with everything else stated above. I put the address of this blog on the lil picture cards, in case anyone was interested in knowing a bit more about the weirdo who gave them pics of herself... yeah.

I first saw the Absolutely Gorgeous Shannel! I...I Love Shannel. So beautiful, So nice! I had to take my pic w/ her 3 times cause the pics were blurry (accidentally left on manual mode...oops. finally put on auto focus for Paula to take pics for me). Then I went over to Manila and gave my card and had a pic w/her :). Manila seemed grateful for the card (though she, nor anyone else, opened their envelopes in my presence, they all had their cards sent up to their...changing room I guess) There were...kinda lines to get to each person so some waiting/pushing ahead involved with getting close to each one. Next was Miss Pandora Boxx. Love that funny girl Pandora!!! Was awesome to meet her! (and meet her again at the end of the night) Then we made our way over to the Gorgeous Jujubee. I Love Love Love these awesome Queens!!! While I was waiting for Raven, who appears right in front of me but Yara Sophia!!! I gotz pic w/her! Then Finally to my Raven! I have Raven hugs...and didn't wanna let Raven go! She Loved my Tika!!! Ok Everyone loved it & I made it myself (bonus awesome points for me!).

No more All Stars were there at that point. The ones that were there disappeared up the stairs. I spotted one of my Favie Queens of YouTube fame, Misty Maven!!! She was having a convo w/ some people so I waited a bit, got her attention and Got a pic w/ her :). I also told her about my blog, and guess what. She wants to Read it!!! AAAHHH!!! ...She may even read this post...where I'm yelling like a crazy person about her saying she wants to check it out...I should probably erase those few lines...but i'm not gonna :)

Next I saw some friends and sat in my seat next to Paula and waited, listening to some pretty good music, for half an hour or so before the show started. Show was AWESOME!!! Will be posting pics! After the show saw & got pics with my Philly Drag queens! The Goddess Isis, Porcelain, Omyra Lynn & Misty Maven!!! Gave them all the cards I had for them. Porcelain is soooo adorable looking in guy mode, even with the many tattoos. Omyra Lynn as well. Such good looking guys. I've seen Isis in guy mode as well...strikingly beautiful guy!!! And Male Misty is Gorgeous as well (though i don't think i've seen guy mode in person yet)!!! Next back upstairs and got a pic of Paula w/ Pandora and I got a pic with Tammie Brown. It was such an Awesome night!!! (I tried to catch up with Mimi Imfurst twice, each time I lost her before I could catch up w/ her, ah well)

THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH PAULA!!!

(will post a link to the rest of the pictures when I have them uploaded)

Raven 10, Paula's first CD night out!

This is Paula's point of view of Raven 10.

Even though I knew when Pebbles and I went shopping (also see CD Shopping Day part 2) that we were planning on going to this party, It didn't really feel real until I found myself standing outside all dressed up. Getting ready was awesome as Pebbles helped me out with everything especially the corset. I think she likes torturing me a little bit :). Then she took care of my makeup and nails. I'd never had long nails before and I guess it's something you have to get used to. I quickly realized, the long nails made it hard for me to do just about anything with my hands. Between the corset keeping me from bending and the fact that i'm not super good in high heels, I was totally helpless, but Pebbles looked after me :).

Stepping outside was a total first for me. I knew this was the part I was going to get most nervous. I'd never been outside dressed up before. You'll probably hear that alot from my posts though since so much of this is firsts for me. I could feel my heart racing when we stepped through the front door. I know the area was pretty quiet since it was early and no one was around but I felt panicked anyway. Then we got to the car and the keys were still inside the house. I don't think I was able to calm down until we were sitting in the car. Once we were sitting in the car and on the road I felt fine again.

The ride was pretty fun though. We got to listen to some good music and I had a moment where I realized the duality of my existence as I was explaining why I like UFC better than boxing while I was wearing a pink dress and high heels. Once we reached the Raven we went inside to the dining area and I felt really comfortable there were so many people dressed up and I got to meet Jennifer Bryant and Lisa Empanada right away, they were both really friendly. I introduced myself to them as Paul at first... okay i'll admit a rookie mistake but I've been introducing myself that way for 31 years... They didn't give me too hard of a time about it though :)

The only problem was that there wasn't anywhere for us to sit inside and eat with the others. So we went to sit and eat outside, but there weren't any other cd's out there so I started to feel a little exposed though, I probably would have chickened out if not for Pebbles but it was cool and everyone was really polite. A drag queen who wasn't dressed up time came over and helped out with my wig a little bit. Once we finished eating we went inside and hit the dance floor. It was fun being around everyone. I think I described it to Lisa when she asked about me dancing that i'm a bad dancer normally and that adding a dress and heels doesn't make me better. :) Still had fun though and got to spend a good while dancing with Pebbles, as long as I was getting to dance with her I wasn't really focused on whether i'm a great dancer or not :)

We took a quick trip out to the car to get Kandice a water bottle and I finally surrendered to the feet and went barefoot most of the rest of the night. That was a new record though for me, i've never worn heels for that long.

It was totally an awesome night I got to be dressed up all night, meet alot of great people, dance with a gorgeous girl, and even got a really nice kiss good night. Can't think of a much better night than that. I cant wait for the next party on 9/22, hope that we're able to make it and get to see everyone again :)

CD Shopping Day part 2 - Paula's Perspective

This is another Guest Post. This one is from Paula. This is Paula's perspective of the CD Shopping Day. Paula, you have the floor!
****************************************************************************

Dressing up has been an on and off thing since I was in high school, but it’s also been pretty private none of my friends or family know. Which is fine because it’s not really their business anyway, but also since no one has ever known I’ve never really gotten much help or bought things so I know less about everything than I guess most other cross dressers. I’d met Pebbles a few times and we’d had fun hanging out so when she offered to help me shop for some things I was pretty excited. I’m not saying I wasn’t really nervous but Pebbles being with me made me feel ok about it. On my own I would never EVER have gone out to do something like this. She picked me up and we headed out to the first store checking out some dresses. Pebbles carried everything most of the time so it wasn’t embarrassing and the store wasn’t real crowded either which was a plus, once we got to the step of trying them on I started to get a little nervous, but Pebbles stood right outside the door keeping watch. Still had a jolt of fear each time we opened the door a crack so she could see how they looked. It went smooth though and no one noticed or said anything and three of the dresses were pretty great. Including a pink one that I think she uploaded a pic of on here that I wore to the Raven party.

We picked them up out paid for them and a makeup case and it was on to the next part of our trip and I think where I might have been my most nervous. We got to a shop that Pebbles knew about to try and find the right wig. I probably should have expected to try one on since I mean we’d need to know how it looked to get the right one. However, I hadn’t really even considered that and when she asked which ones I wanted to try on there was probably an audible GULP sound effect. Pebbles told the sales lady that it was for a costume party and she didn’t seem to mind if we tried them on as I sat down I honestly felt like everyone was staring at me… To be honest I don’t have any evidence to suggest that anyone other than Pebbles and the sales lady were in fact looking at me at all, but whatever I was nervous and paranoid… It went ok though and we found a wig that we both really liked. So after an eternity… (probably 2 minutes maximum in not scared time) we picked up some lashes and a wig cap and hit the road.

We had another quick stop to get a bra and some things we needed to make a corset, and a nice break to get some dinner, before heading back to her place for dress up time. I would have been super nervous to be getting dressed up at all it’s something I’m very used to being embarrassed about, but Pebbles obviously already knew and let me know that everyone in her house knew and was ok with it. First we tried on the wig and then Pebbles got to work taping me up to make the corset, I kind of expected it to be tight and a little harder to breathe, but I didn’t think about how hard it would be to move, bend, and sit… It made putting on the dresses a lot easier since I fit them better, but also made putting on my shoes impossibly difficult since I couldn’t even reach the buckles. After a while though Pebbles and Kandice finished doing my makeup and I got to see myself all dressed up for the first time and got to show the three dresses while Pebbles took some photos. It was totally awesome, I kind of never expected to ever do anything like it. It was weird I’ve never really been able to look anything close to feminine and really didn’t imagine I’d look even ok. I thought I turned out really nice. I was actually a little disappointed to have to go back into guy mode, but… I would have had to answer a lot of questions if I showed up back at my house in that pink dress, and I’m not interested in letting my room mates in on things. Totally without question the best Monday in history.
Paula

Event I will attend: Raven 10

Jen Bryant's Summer Sizzle (RAVEN 10)

I will be attending this event for the First time this coming Saturday. This will be happening in the town of New Hope, PA, which I have been told is very Trans-friendly. I will be attending with one of my Close GG friends, Kandice, and I will be bringing with me the lovely Gurl that I have had the pleasure shopping with and dressing up in my previous post. These parties are once a season and everyone Raves about them. I can't wait to go! Though...I still have not decided what to wear. Maybe I'll have it all figured out in time.
Anywho, check out the the page. It's a FREE event. Party is at 9:30pm, there are happenings before then, like dinner, but...thats not free.

See you there!

CD Shopping Day!

A couple of weeks ago I promised a local straight CD I'd take him shopping. Finally settled on this past Monday as the day. I had found articles on making low cost diy style corsets using a t-shirt and duct tape.

I picked him up a lil after 5pm and we drove to on of my favorite discount clothing stores JoMar (there are several locations in the philly area) looked through the dresses area for a while till we found a few we liked. I carried around the dresses most of the time to be less conspicuous. We got about 5 dresses and headed to the changing room area. No one was really manning that area so he went in one of the lil rooms and I gave him the dresses. he tried them on one by one and he opened the door a bit so I could see the dresses on him. We liked 3 of them. At the register there were make up kits. We grabbed one as well. Next we headed to a wig store. The one I was used to going to relocated a few blocks away. (had to call my mom to find out where) the new store was Huge! Went in and looked at wigs. after about 20 minutes of looking (and several girls asking if I needed their help) we finally settled on 2 we liked. I finally let one of the girls help us. I explained to her that we were going to a costume party (kinda true, we're going to a CD/TG party on the 14th, more info to follow) and needed the wigs tried on him. She was like, "fine with me, as long as he's secure in his masculinity" ... or something like that. Of the 2 wigs, one stood out and looked Great on him. Things were starting to come together. Before we left there we picked up some wig caps and eyelashes. Next off to another JoMar location. We forgot to get him a bra! We found a bra with removable straps so that we could replace them with clear straps. We also got a t-shirt. Got a pink one for the inside of his duct tape corset. Next...we had to stop by boston market for some food. Not too much for him, he was gonna be taped in pretty tight soon enough. Next we went to lowes to get the duct tape. Then back to my house to put it all together. Fortunately for him...everyone in my house already knows of my interest in crossdressers so there is no weirdness. Everyone includes my visiting aunt who stayed in the guest room the whole time. My younger male cousin who dressed as a catgirl for halloween last year (yes i helped dress him...he was wearing my clothes), and my friend who is staying for the summer which is the one who did his makeup.
First we put on the wig, next we made the corset. It worked out really well. Next we put the bra on him. It was a lil snug, we'll just buy some bra extenders at some point if need be. Didn't have any falsies available so we stuffed his bra with socks...it worked for the moment. Next he put on his pink platform shoes, which he discovered is much harder to put on while corseted. Finally, On with the Dresses!!! The first was a light pink cocktail (i think) dress with a plunging v neck line and a darker pink sash around the waist. It looked nice on him. While he was wearing it my friend applied some make up to his face. Her transformation was complete. This was the first time she saw herself completely in female form & she Loved it! Next was another pink dress. this time a darker pink halter style dress that looked even better than the first. Lastly a long blue strapless dress that was quite fetching on her. I took a few pics of each outfit on her then it was time to get out of the girl clothes. Last thing to do was to cut off the corset (then he could breathe normally again). Next I took him home. He was extremely grateful for the experience and help. This was his Best Monday EVER! I'm glad to be a part of it :)

Here are some Pictures... YAY!!! I got permission to post them as long as his face is not fully shown....Guess I can add additional pixilation if requested.

First the Duct Tape Corset, since that's what we started with (besides the wig)

Next on to the main event...er...the Person of the Hour!
I did photoshop the shoes.

I'm a Slacker, I'm Sorry :(

Ok, I have been slacking a bit...I apologize. I had a post typed up on the 10th and didn't get around to posting it. And now, because of a series of unfortunate events, I will not have my laptop back till at least Wednesday.

Anywho, I kinda hate the first CD dating site I started using. I am ready to delete my account. It is way too money hungry. If people like the site and can afford extras they'll pay for them. If they're broke, like me, and can't afford to, well, we broke people should be allowed to try to date people too, right? Wrong, according to them, I still have an account an a couple other free CD dating sites. The one...er ones i do NOT recommend are: Crossdressing.com and DateAcrossdresser.com. These 2 sites are linked.

CDmeet.com & MeetLocalCrossdressers.com are gonna be the ones I go to most often now. Lets see, what else... Um...If you find me on facebook...I don't really add people I don't already know as friends...Sorry. I do have a FB page for this page and a FB fan page just...I feel bad telling individual people that I'm not gonna add them. There is just too much personal stuff on there. That being said, here are the links to the Public FB Pages I have:
